1. Recruitment Of Security Integrated Systems Officer At AngloGold Ashanti

 

Your job is to manage the technical support and ensure availability (maintenance of existing systems / installation of new systems and peak performance of security systems. This role will play critical part in ensuring that the security management plan is successfully implemented for the redevelopment of the Obuasi mine.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Ensure all equipment / material required to perform duties are in good working order
  2. Ensure availability of appropriate levels of essential spares, material and equipment for immediate replacement in event of equipment / system failure or breakdown
  3. Implement and maintain a work schedule on equipment and materials for planned maintenance work, regular inspections, daily repairs and service and job assignment
  4. Liaise with Systems Administrator, other departments / clients on request and feedback on specific new installations, equipment and materials
  5. Ensure availability for afterhours call out on equipment / system failure or breakdown
  6. Ensure confidentiality is maintained on all password information change
  7. Work in close co-operation with the Systems Administrator to ensure that the system functions at optimal efficiency and that upgrades, special and maintenance work is properly scheduled and implemented according to standard
  8. Strive to ensure 100% system availability and utilization of all systems
  9. Install special installations on request when and where needed
  10. Ensure that availability of effective radio/repeater communication
  11. Maintain work schedules as required for the functionality and maintenance of the main control room and plan
  12. Maintain inventory listing of all equipment and materials in GSIMS / Plant, equipment rooms, technicians office, workshops and store room
  13. Maintain relevant logbooks and registers pertaining to the job
  14. Work and liaise in close co-operation with the System Administrator on equipment / system faults reported, ensure that faulty equipment register is maintained
  15. Ensure that communication with all colleagues and with stakeholders is professional at all times
  16. Identify and report all Safety and Health hazards
  17. Adhere to all safety and health regulations within the work place
  18. Promote safety and health in the workplace with a view of zero tolerance

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science or a Diploma in Systems Software.
    Experience
  2. Three (3) to Five (5) years’ Security Systems experience or other technical exposure
    Experience and skilled knowledge in investigations will be an advantage
    Technical Competencies
  3. Completed Electrical Competency requirements;
    Basic knowledge of Electronics
    Must have knowledge of the laws of Ghana and legal codes

2. Recruitment Of Supervisor (Underground) At AngloGold Ashanti

 

The CIC Supervisor – Underground is accountable for the monitoring and control of output of the Underground CIC refurbishment team to standard, through the application of operational policies, standards, processes and procedures to maximise plant availability in a sustainable cost-effective manner and minimize operational risks in order to meet the business’ strategic objective.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Work according to total quality management principles & ensure zero defect objectives & safety
  • Adhere to site’s Environmental Management Plan
  • Gather information for the CIC Superintendent – Underground for reporting performance
  • Conduct periodic audits of all Underground CIC refurbishment, later maintenance
  • Conduct reviews of the refurbishment, later maintenance, of the CIC equipment to identify actions for continuous improvement
  • Assist the CIC Superintendent – Underground to develop condition monitoring routes and checks for correct functioning equipment;
  • Execute CIC refurbishment, later maintenance, work and carry out checks on a routine scheduled basis. This include visual checks, infrared data collection, ultrasonic data collection, motor current and flux data collection, simple NDT data collection, verification of output within calibration and specification;
  • Analyse and trend predictive maintenance data (vibration, IR, etc) to determine plant condition and report this condition for action;
  • Monitor general physical condition of CIC assets and report
  • Monitor preventive and corrective actions as necessary;
  • Generate work requests in SAP as required for refurbishment/maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Ensure routine condition monitoring tasks are performed on all the rotating equipment by data collection using advanced portable data collectors and other tools according to the established schedules and also as per the plant requirements.
  • Gather information on vibration & other data collected in order to diagnose / troubleshoot rotating machinery problems.
  • Actively participate in maintenance review programmes and Root Cause Failure Analysis process of CIC equipment as per requirements.
  • Identify, communicate, and implement potential cost reduction initiatives
  • Propose cost savings projects
  • Execute work in a timely manner; coordinate refurbishment work and contractors to time plan, escalate real or potential delays
  • Monitor equipment performance on asset health system and take proactive measures to address symptoms of potential failure.
  • Report directly to the CIC Superintendent on issues and identify and execute improvement projects
  • Stop equipment from working if there exists a high risk or unsafe to be used

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Qualification

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics/Communications Supervision, or equivalent
  • Financial, commercial and project management through work experience and courses

Experience 

  • An experienced Electronics/Instrumentation maintenance supervisor with 5+ years’ experience in, preferably, Mine Infrastructure Maintenance
  • Experience in management of Maintenance and Repair Contracts (MARC)
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Knowledge of SAP PM module

 

Legal Requirements

  • Must possess supervisory Managers Certificate of Competency from Mineral Commission of Ghana
  • Professional certificated Supervisor with a relevant certification body

The Rubber Liner – Process Plant is accountable for executing the tasked rubber-lining of pipes, spools and hoppers within the Processing Plant. The work is to be executed in a safe and compliant manner as instructed for refurbishment, later maintenance, of the Process Plant.

The work is to be executed in accordance with detailed tasking in accordance with applicable Government of Ghana and AGAG safety and environmental requirements.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  1. Work compliantly with the requirement of Government of Ghana Agencies, environmental, health & safety legislation and AGAG regulation
  2. Accept personal responsibility for his own health and safety and that of every mine worker affected by his work
  3. Adhere to site’s Environmental Management Plan
  4. Interface with Contractors as directed and/or Construction teams regarding mechanical work tasks for refurbishment works and planned works that support the overall work plan, schedule and expectations.
  5. Attend training, development and performance improvement training as required
  6. Execute rubber lining refurbishment and maintenance work items as tasked – compliant and in accordance with all relevant regulations from Government of Ghana and AGAG
  7. Execute daily pre-start checks of equipment/tools prior to leaving workshop. Escalate and report any anomalies
