Details: ‘Essential Work’ Resumes At University Of Ghana After Akufo-Addo Lifts Lockdown

In view of President Nana Akufo-Addo’s decision to lift the restriction of movement in parts of the country whilst the ban on social gatherings still holds, the University of Ghana has announced for the continuation of work for essential services.

In a notice to members of the University community, signed by the Registrar at the University of Ghana, Madam Mercy Haizel-Ashia, employees who are return to work are expected to observe the protocols outlined by the University and adhere strictly to safety precautions necessary to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

 

 

Suspension Of All Tours And Events, Both International And National

The University has still suspended all tours and events, both international and national, slated to take place on the University of Ghana campus till further notice.

All national service personnel and others on attachment may be allowed by their heads of units to take some off-time during this period.

Meanwhile, the directives ensure for the flexibility in work activities.

Any employees who develop a cough, cold or sore throat have been advised to stay at home till it clears.

Everyone is encouraged to check his/her temperature daily (morning and evening).

The University of Ghana Hospital is still open to provide general healthcare to all members of the University community.
