On April 8, The Ministry of Education responded to the university diploma graduates pertaining to their petition channeled to the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Adutwum, on February 11.
The petition which sort to address the displeasure of these university graduates awarded Diploma in Basic Education but are still at home for many years of completion.

They pleaded to the minister to come to their aid in securing a job with the Ghana Education Service as their stay in the house has rendered them useless and less respected by family and friends.
The good news is, a statement signed by Mrs. Wilhelmina Asamoah, Director General of Administration at the Ministry of Education, indicates that the ministry has noted the request made by these university diploma graduates and that, The Ministry of Education has assured that university graduates will be considered for employment.
According to the Ministry of Education, the request has been forwarded to the Ghana Education Service for the necessary response and action.
