In the video, DJ Switch could be seen commanding an all female school cadet as their commander.

DJ Switch shared the video indicating she was the second in command of the school cadet.

The talented kid kept shouting slogans with a mean face as commanders do.

Apparently the kid is multi talented, she is not only good at “DJing ” but also good at military stuff.

Brief History Of DJ Switch

 

Erica Armah Bra-Bulu Tandoh is the second child of five siblings and she is the only girl among them. Erica Tandoh was born on born December 12, 2007.

Dj switch as she is popularly called, is from Dadieso in the Western Region of Ghana. She is a pupil of the Talented Royals International School at Weija in Accra.

DJ Switch, is a young Ghanaian female Disk Jockey. She is not only good at “DJing” as she can also sing, rap and dance. Her career and fame started when she was seven years of age.

She rose to fame after winning TV3’s Talented Kidz show in 2017. After the show she gained so much global attention from organisations such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.

 

DJ Sitch’s Performance

She was even billed to perform at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Goalkeepers event in New York City.
In May 2019, she was also been billed to perform the at the NGO ”Room to Read”s gala with Wyclef Jean in New York. In June 2019, she also performed at the World Bank Africa Society Symposium in Washington where she amazed audience with here stunning performance.

The young Ghanaian DJ has undoubtedly gained a name for herself as she keeps breaking boundaries. Arguably the most talented kid on the continent. In June 2018, DJ Switch became the youngest person to win Ghana’s annual DJ award.

When asked about the reason she chose “DJ Switch” as her nick name, she says she chose the name because she changes the mood of people. That is cute right. She noted this by saying.

“I came up with the name DJ Switch because when I was a kid I was switching up the mood of people. When you’re sad I’ll make you happy, when you’re happy and you want to be more excited, I’ll make you excited,”

Dj switch wants to be a gynaecologist when she grows up.

 

This Is How Her DJ Skills Came About

DJ Switch learned how to DJ in her village in the Western Region of Ghana.
She said she had wanted to compete as a spoken-word poet TV3’s Talented Kidz show. But after her parents advised her to consider something exceptional. So that she could win the show. They encouraged her to focus on music which she did. Her parents then introduced her to a DJ in their village who taught her about how to use turntables, a laptop and mix songs.

She confirms this by saying:

“They hired a DJ to train me,”  “and by God’s grace I used five days to learn how to DJ and then went for the audition.”

Apparently her parents strategy worked. DJ Switch won the show in 2017.
She won the eighth edition of the show in 2017. She won the prize of 10,000 Ghanaian cedes as the top prize of the show.
