  • A 1.5% tax is deducted from your Mobile money account whenever the money being transferred exceeds GH垄100 as displayed in the chart above
  • The E Levy Charges shown in the E Levy Chart above does not affect mobile money transfers of GH垄100 or less made by one person in a day

  1. 1.5% tax will be deducted from Momo transfers from your account to a recipient on another account
  2. 1.5% tax will be deducted from Momo Transfers from your bank account to other mobile money accounts
  3. 1.5% tax will be deducted from Momo Transfers from other mobile money accounts to your bank accounts

How To Avoid Paying E Levy

  1. Send an amount of GHS100 a day to your recipient account until you have exhausted the total amount you want to send.
  2. In total you can send an amount of GHS 3,000 for free every month, for instance if you want to send GHS 3000 a month to your mother, just send GHS100 a day, everyday until she receives GHS 3000, then she can go and cash out.
  3. Use cash transactions instead of Mobile Money transactions for huge payments
  4. Make Payments With Bank Cheque for huge payments instead of Mobile Money Transfers
