E Levy Charges On Mobile Money

  • A 1.5% tax is deducted from your Mobile money account whenever the transfer exceeds GH¢100 as displayed in the chart above
  • The E Levy Charges shown in the E Levy Chart above will not affect mobile money transfers of GH¢100 or less made by one person in a day
  • All Merchant payments and payments made with point of sale (POS) devices will also be charged

 

E Levy Charges

  1. 1.5% tax will be deducted from Mobile money transfers from your account to a recipient on another account
  2. 1.5% tax will be deducted from Money Transfers from your bank account to other mobile money accounts
  3. 1.5% tax will be deducted from Money Transfers from other mobile money accounts to your bank accounts

 

How To Avoid Paying E Levy

  1. Send an amount of GHS100 a day to your recipient until you have exhausted the total amount you want to send.
  2. Thus you can send a total of GHS 3,000 for free every month, for instance if you want to send GHS 3000 a month to your mother, just send GHS100 a day, everyday until she receives GHS 3000, then she can go and cash out.
  3. Use cash transactions instead of Mobile Money Transfers for huge payments
  4. Make Payments With Cheque for huge payments instead of Mobile Money Transfers

    Can someone please tell me. Even USA is still owning IMF well developed countries are owning IMF how is it Bad for Ghana to own them .
