Recruitment Of Maintenance Scheduler

Are you able to schedule and monitor all maintenance activities and processes of mobile mining equipment required to deliver optimum equipment availability while maintaining the integrity of company equipment assets?

Job Responsibilities

  • Schedule medium term maintenance requirements based on planning forecasts.
  • Prepare and issue daily and weekly schedules, budgets, and forecasts with assigned appropriate resources.
  • Schedule and prepare warehouse materials and major tools.
  • Schedule and obtain procured materials and contracted services according to authorization limits.
  • Schedule welding contractor labor and services skills.
  • Schedule capacity for support equipment, logistics, manpower, and workshop space.
  • Schedule material requirements on liner kits for haul trucks, loader and dozer blades in conjunction with supply chain management (SCM).
  • Prepare daily and weekly maintenance key performance indicators (KPIs) and arrange review meetings.
  • Create material direct purchase and warehouse requisitions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance routines and inspections.
  • Update equipment register for work area.
  • Ensure work history and completion information is captured in SAP.
  • Capture all requests for work in the system (verbal, written, phone, SAP etc.).
  • Capture condition monitoring data (oil, vibration, non-destructive testing etc.).
  • Schedule the prioritized work as per requests from all sources.
  • Update equipment service meter unit in SAP.
  • Schedule as per shutdown activity scope to meet budget allocation.
  • Schedule shutdown planning to include contractors
  • Schedule short-term shutdown planning, including:
  • Assist with the preparation for shutdown execution, including preparation of checklists for critical activities, inspection quality assurance sheets, checklists for critical and high-risk activities, handover process, quality assurance, and formal recommissioning process.

Recruitment Of Site Freight Coordinator

.The role requires a strong ability to assert Newmont priorities to Suppliers and Freight Forwarders. Develop strong and reliable relationships with other sections of supply chain and end users. Prioritize competing demand and deliver cost effective solutions to the operation. The role requires high commercial acumen.

Job Responsibilities

  • Be the trusted advisor for freight, logistics and transportation issues for the site.
  • Be responsible for ensuring Newmont import exemptions are applied appropriately and perform periodic audits.
  • Be responsible for all expediting requests for the site with special focus on critical spares and shut downs.
  • Liaise with Inventory Controllers, Buyers and End users to ensure material delivery.
  • Collaborate with freight forwarder both offshore and onshore to ensure service levels are met.
  • Responsible for the validation of all Freight invoices in line with contracted rates.
  • Responsible for the periodic reconciliation of the Freight Account with Finance to ensure freight costs are appropriately allocated.
  • Ensure prompt communication to all relevant stakeholders and timely reporting of all expediting activities.
  • Evaluate the performance of suppliers, Freight Forwarders on delivery performance.
  • Continuously seek new ways to address cost and improve efficiency.
  • Support in the execution of local content strategy for the site in alignment with the regional and global strategies.

Recruitment Of Health & Safety Coordinator

Are you able to assist in building, implementing and overseeing the Health and Safety programs and initiatives for the site?

Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the development and review of Health and Safety (H&S) standards and procedures in accordance with site, Newmont and local Ghanaian regulations and legislation.
  • Work with department managers to design, develop and administer Newmont programs that link to the current H&S strategy to protect employees from work hazards and prevent incidents/accidents.
  • Facilitate and promote the adoption of new Health and Safety programs and practices.
  • Facilitate inspections to verify that Health and Safety requirements and governmental legislation are being followed at all times.
  • Write reports documenting the findings of the Health and Safety investigations.
  • Facilitate Health and Safety audits, risk assessments, reviews and inspections.
  • Coordinate the integration of Health and Safety activities into production efforts.
  • Administer internal Health and Safety consulting services to Newmont line management.
  • Act in the capacity of a team leader for task forces and teams as and when required.
  • Partner with site leadership to optimize the on-site safety programs and systems in Akyem.
  • Facilitate post-activity reviews to determine if all Akyem employees are adequately trained and coached to perform their roles effectively.
  • Facilitate event investigations to identify control failures, root causes and appropriate corrective actions to be taken.
  • Identify potentially hazardous situations and report to the department owner for immediate action and correction.
  • Maintain and report on Health and Safety records and statistics.
  • Monitor, analyze and suggest improvements from lead and lag Health and Safety indicators.
  • Review internal and external H&S reports within the contractor areas that need improvement and implement measures to minimize the occurrence of unfavourable incidents.
  • Highlight non-compliance violations perpetrated by employees and bring this to the department head immediate attention.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to the safety representatives within their assigned departments.
  • Provide guidance to supervisors within their assigned departments.
