AMG Ghana is looking to employ an Agronomist for its regional and national offices.

Established in 2012, Agricultural Manufacturing Group (AMG) is a leading indigenous fully Ghanaian owned company in the marketing and manufacturing of healthier crops and soil nutrients fertilizer.

AMG plays a critical role in the production of healthier produce for each household in the country, with its healthier and equally fertilizer brands that support the farmer increase yield to ensure food security and sustainable development.

 

The  Agronomist is a key position that will provide technical support to the AMG commercial business to promote fertilizer and other agricultural input sales at the company.

 

AMG is looking for a knowledgeable, thorough Agronomist who can develop better farming practices and find effective solutions for the food and farming industry.

The Agronomist will conduct research and field checks, take samples and make observations, perform tests, and identify and solve problems related to plant or soil nutrition, damage from insects or wildlife, weather or climate changes, or the use of specialized products. Using this information, you will also help farmers develop techniques to increase crop quality and yield.

Your focus shall be on developing and promoting better farming practices. You should also be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical with excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.

 

Job Qualification And Experience

  • A Bachelors degree in Agronomy or General Agriculture or related field
  • A minimum of three years of working experience in similar role and industries
  • Ability to work outside, stand, walk, kneel, and stoop for extended periods
  • Proficiency with computers, especially MS Office and diagnostic scientific software
  • Exceptional active listening and verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong research, decision making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Awareness of industry trends, technology, and developments
  • Sales and presentation skills are also a major plus
  • You should also be a good driver, with a valid driving license

AMG Ghana, a leading Fertilizer manufacturing and marketing company is looking to engage the services of an M&E officer. The M&E Officer will lead all Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities. S/he will be responsible for overseeing all daily work and routine data collection related to monitoring, evaluation, and reporting activities of the company.

 

Job Qualification And Experience

  • Experience in monitoring & evaluation, Data analysis, reporting, design & implementation of project.
  • Experience in pro-smallholder market development programmes.
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative survey tools and design.
  • Experience in database design and management use of tables for data collection
  • At least first degree in Agricultural economics, M&E, Development studies and in relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a relevant competency area, including agriculture, statistics, international development.
  • Experience in similar assignments or working for donor funded project(s) is highly desirable;
  • Ability to write concise and clear reports;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, willingness to innovate and ability to think systematically;
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate with wide range of stakeholders both verbally and in writing;

Recruitment Of Production Manager, Animal Feed At Orcons Systems Limited

 

The Production Manager at Orcons Systems Limited is responsible for planning, organizing, and regulating animal feed production. He / She should be a driven, detail-oriented, analytical research technologist who would focus on designing, executing, and analyzing feed experiments, taking into consideration the nutritional requirements of the farm animals.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate chemical and nutritional value of animal feed
  • Formulate diets such as maximizing growth and creating competitive advantage
  • Prepare feed formulations and monitor their performance to meet quality criteria for the animal feed production
  • Investigate the best storage conditions for feed
  • Explore lower cost/alternate feed substrates and feed formulations
  • Conduct research and generate reports that can be clearly understood
