The Transport Officer is responsible for the effective management of all company vehicles and the transport department.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure that proper inventory of all components of vehicles are maintained and checked frequently.
  • Adhere strictly to manufacturers maintenance regime of vehicles.
  • Adhere to the time table of renewal of documents for all vehicles.
  • Schedules vehicles and drivers for official assignments.
  • Analyzes log books and fuel utilization of vehicles and produce relevant reports for management decision.

  • Manages drivers’ leave and makes alternative arrangements when the need be.

Job Qualification And Experience

  • HND Mechanical Engineering or Auto Engineering with minimum 2 years in supervisory position in a transport department, or On the Job Training with a minimum of 5 years working experience in supervisory position in a Transport department.
  • Good knowledge of traffic rules and regulations
  • Strong mechanical background, a plus.
  • Excellent inventory management skills
  • Ability to diagnose vehicular problems
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of road safety procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps.
  • Layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, base on job specifications and local codes.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
  • Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes
  • Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications
  • Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches or outlets.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.
  • Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
  • Provide assistance during emergencies by operating floodlights and generators, placing flares, and driving needed vehicles.

We are looking for someone to conduct a safe troubleshooting, replacement, repair, testing and general maintenance of electrical and instrumentation production equipment and systems, according to electrical codes and specifications, to optimize plant processing and production.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute on electrical maintenance tasks for completion, arising out of schedules received from the E&I Supervisor.
  • Conduct daily work planning around STP’s, JHA / FLRA and SAFE checks.
  • Identify, resolve and correct detected E&I faults and defects in equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical and / or operational problems.
  • Conduct in-depth investigations into faults affecting equipment operations and process flows.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical power and control systems, AC V/S drives and associated electrical equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on all electrical equipment, in line with approved maintenance standards.
  • Analyse specified problems and issues to find the best technical solutions within OEM specifications and in accordance with local codes.
  • Provide a hands-on solution for electrical faults and defects to equipment and machinery.
  • Produce daily reports indicating the jobs completed for the day and submit the report to the E&I Supervisor.
  • Accomplish work objectives by determining own daily work and prioritization schedule.
  • Coordinate with support services and assign short-term tasks to other Technicians, as necessary.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Electrical Engineering Technician II Certificate.
  • Other relevant Electrical Engineering Trade Test Certificate.
  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years’ electrical maintenance experience in a mining plant / process environment.
  • Wide ranging experience across various voltage electrical works – extra-low, low and high.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes.
  • Strong knowledge of process instrumentation.
