Job Description

  • Meeting or exceeding weekly, monthly, and yearly sales quotas.
  • Canvassing assigned territories to present company products to potential customers.
  • Deliver customers products requested on time.
  • Assisting management in identifying viable marketing and pricing strategies.

Responsible for preparing the purchase orders, receiving, storing, issuing the goods, managing the stock levels and giving out the supplies from the stock.

 

Job Description

  • Take delivery of stock and issue them to Kitchen Staff
  • Fulfil purchase orders
  • Record and track stock levels
  • Monitor distribution of stock
  • Maintain stock records using manual or computerized systems
  • Draw up inventories.
  • Check supplies against invoice and purchase orders
  • Undertake annual stocktakes.

 

Qualification and Requirements 

  • A minimum of a Diploma/HND is required.
  • At least 2 years experience in related field.

Responsible to provide overall supervision over the day to day activities of operational and inventory management.

 

Job Description

  • Preparing the retail space for the day’s business
  • Welcoming and directing customers
  • Providing accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services)
  • Answering customers’ questions about specific products/services
  • Answering telephone calls and messages from online customers
  • Conducting price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
  • Informing customers about discounts and special offers
  • Completing sales to customers and computing the totals of daily sales
  • Sending daily business report comprising sales, finance and stock reports to Sales Manager
  • Making bank deposits of business revenue.
  • Informing Sales Manager of out-of-stock models and following up on re-stocking of same

5. Recruitment Of Purchasing Assistant At Plantations SOCFINAF Ghana

 

Plantations Socfinaf Ghana (PSG) Limited wishes to inform all qualified and interested candidates about a vacant PURCHASING ASSISTANT position in its Purchasing Department.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:-

  • Ensure that the approved or laid down purchasing and sales policies of the Company are adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure that purchases are done using the laid down purchasing procedure by collecting three (3) proforma invoices for proper comparison and evaluation before purchases are done.
  • To assist the immediate Supervisor in the purchasing of goods or items for the Company.
  • Ensure that quality materials are always purchased for the Company and ensure to always consult the User Department for identification and selection of materials where there are technical situations before purchases are done.
  • Ensure that proper records of Purchasing and Sales Books are kept for reconciliation purposes in the Department.
  • Ensure that detailed Monthly and Quarterly Reports on purchases are prepared for information of the immediate Supervisor and or the Head of Department.

In addition to the above, the successful applicant is required to:

  • Exhibit diligence, honesty, integrity and loyalty to the company throughout the employment period.
  • Be responsible and accountable for any losses that the company may sustain as a result of negligence and/or bad job performance.
  • Abide by the policies, regulations and operating procedures that the company shall from time to time put into place for the effective and efficient performance of its operations.
  • Perform any other duties assigned to you by your Departmental or Sectional Head and the Managing Director as the situation demands.

 

Required Skills or Experience

  • Degree in Procurement\HND in Purchasing and Supply.
  • Minimum of three (3) years post qualification working experience in case of a Degree holder and five (5) years post qualification working experience for an HND holder in supporting and managing the procurement functions of a corporate entity.  Applicants should have completed their National Service.

SKILLS

  • Knowledge in the use of the computer (Microsoft word, excel, and the internet i.e. e-mail, outlook and spread sheet).
  • Administrative and managerial skills.
  • Competency in ordering procedures and processes.
  • Aptitude in procurement.
  • Competency in identifying and ordering quality products.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
