Recruitment Of Gender Equality Coordinators

Job Responsibilities

  • Supports the Project Manager and all other project team members to integrate gender transformative actions in the design, management and monitoring of the SHOW project.
  • Leads in the development and implementation of the project GE Strategy and actions on Unpaid care work, women and girls’ participation in decision making and the equitable distribution of household works between men and women and between boys and girls;

  • Provides technical support to revise, develop and contextualized training and IEC materials
  • Collaborates with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to monitor GE related indicator, analyze and report on progress in terms of achieving result.

 

Recruitment Of Local Fund Raising and Partnership Specialist 

Job Responsibilities

  • This section is critical for clarifying expectations of the role, providing the framework for its relationship with colleagues and providing areas of accountability against which performance can be managed.
  • This should include a series of brief statements that define the end results required. e.g. drive, contribute, identify, manage, responsible for, advise/coach, build, develop, provide, conduct, oversee, establish, participate etc.

Strategic Management of local Fundraising and partnerships

  • Initiate and coordinate the development and regular update of Plan International Ghana’s policy, plans, and guidelines on local Fundraising and partnerships;

Recruitment Of Communications & Media Coordinators

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and amend as necessary a Communication Plan for Plan International’s programme in the Programme Area.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with frontline national and international media (journalists}, Communications staff and representatives of other NGOs, government institutions, UN Agencies, etc.
  • Act as the main point of contact for media and respond to requests for information from journalists, NOs, and donors, including arranging interviews and field visits.
  • Prepare, distribute and log press releases.
  • Conduct regular field visits to interview staff and beneficiaries, write human interest stories and coordinate photos and video sessions.
  • Ensure appropriate capturing and documentation of projects’ successes and challenges via fact sheets, case studies, stories, testimonies, quality pictures and videos, media products, articles, etc

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the PIIAM in implementing procurement management systems, including purchasing and tender/bidding procedures, sourcing quotations for goods and services based on approved requisitions originating program teams and departments in line with Donor and Plan International procurement guidelines.
  • Support in the procurement process by preparing invitation to bid, short listing or prequalification; preparation of tabulation of technical bids and submission of such bids to the Selection Committee for review.
  • Contact suppliers for additional information required by Selection Committee Members.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares journal, journal entries and receipt vouchers using the corporate accounting software General ledger (GL.
  • Ensures that transactions are complete and accurate with selfexplanatory and understandable description.
  • Maintains good filing for all vouchers in a limited access area to ensure easy retrieval.
  • Maintains a record of vouchers borrowed by staff and ensures that they are returned and filed appropriately.
  • Supports the monthly GL closure process.
  • Prints the monthly GL reports for signing.
  • Ensures that the GL balances of the advances account agrees with the sub ledger balances.
  • Enters all recharges from PUs promptly before GL closure.

  • Prepares the Withholding tax and VAT schedule where relevant before payment is done.

  • A valid signed cheque should have two signatories and should be signed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  • Lead in financial accountability and reporting for grants in a timely manner to ensure compliance to Plan International’s policies and donor regulations.
  • Review implementing partners’ and other engagement agreements and ensure its compliance with Plan International and donor Policy
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external financial, budgetary and accounting reports of considerable complexity requiring independent judgment, initiative, and extensive knowledge of the organization, accounting, and policies and procedures as may be required on the specific grant.
  • Periodic review of payments charged to grants for conformity to budget; calculate and ensure cost recovery is carried out appropriately on all grants.
  • Oversee cash management of all grants, including preparation of requests of funds from donors/grantor agencies. Monitor funding requirements for donor-specific bank accounts and liaises with the Country Finance Manager and Business Development Manager to ensure availability of adequate funds to meet forecast expenditure requirements.
  • Lead in financial capacity assessment of potential partners prior to any partnership and conduct regular assessments of existing partnerships.
  • Train finance and programs staff on grant regulations and Plan International’s policies and procedures. Perform grant capacity assessment of partner finance staff, and develop training and development plans.
