Posting Remaining Graduates Falls Outside Ministry’s Budget – Education Ministry
In an interview with Mr. Ekow Vincent, Director of Communications of the Ministry of Education. He made it clear that posting the remaining graduates falls outside the ministry’s budget approved for the 2018 fiscal year.
The Education Ministry has set the records straight on why some teachers who have completed various Colleges of Education have still not received their postings.
The Education Ministry’s Public Relations Officer, Ekow Vincent Assifuah has explained that the said teachers could not be posted because they fall outside the Ministry’s budget that was approved for the 2018 fiscal year.
“This postings are mainly for the 2018 teacher trainees who have successfully passed their licensure exams; have been licensed and have completed their national service,” he explained.
He explained that should any of the trainees fall within the category, and as a result didn’t receive their postings, they may lodge a formal complaint with their respective Regional Directorates.
“We need their [teachers] services because we have quite a number of spaces to fill and as at now, almost 16,000 teacher trainees have been posted so they should keep calm,” he urged.
He added that all issues and irregularities with the postings will be addressed in due time.
Scores of trained teachers who have not been posted after graduating from various Colleges of Education on Monday were at the Ministry of Education to demand answers to why they haven’t been posted.
The teachers say they completed their national service in 2017 and have also been duly licensed since 2018 and are therefore calling on the government through the Ghana Education Service to engage them.
The last set of postings is to be released early this month with hopes that most of the unposted graduates would be posted.

College Graduates Storm Ministry Of Education To Demand Jobs
Meanwhile we earlier reported that a group of College of education graduates who were denied postings despite having met the requirements for postings, teamed up and stormed the Ministry of education to demand for Jobs on 25th November, 2019. The aggrieved College graduates said the ministry failed to fulfill its promise to address their grievances.
The graduates who comprised mostly of the 2017 college year batch claimed they have been home for two years awaiting their posting but the Ministry failed them and give excuses always.
The graduates carried out a similar exercise some time ago but were lulled into calling it off with the promise that the issue will be addressed. But nothing has been done about the situation since.
