About GES Academic Calendar For Basic Schools In Ghana

• The GES Academic calendar for basic schools was reverted to the Trimester system consisting of three terms earlier this year .
• This comes after consultation with stakeholders who expressed displeasure about the Semester based academic calendar which was introduced earlier.

GES Academic Calendar For Basic Schools 1st TERM

1st Term Academic Calendar is as follows:

1. 18th January to 7th April, 2022 (12 Weeks School Session)
2. 7th April to 9th May, 2022 (Vacation)

GES Academic Calendar For Basic Schools 2nd TERM

2nd Term Academic Calendar is as follows:

1. 10th May to 11th August 2022 (14 Weeks School Session)
2. 11th August to 12th September, 2022 (Vacation)

GES Academic Calendar For Basic Schools 3rd TERM

• 3rd Term Academic Calendar is as follows:

1. 13th September to 15th December, 2022 (14 Weeks School Session)
2. Vacation – 15th December

Vacation Date for Basic Schools in Ghana

• 1st Term Vacation Date For Basic Schools in Ghana is as follows: 7th April to 9th May, 2022
• 2nd Term Vacation Date For Basic Schools in Ghana is as follows: 11th August to 12th September, 2022
• 3rd Term Vacation Date For Basic Schools in Ghana is as follows: 15th December
