• About 87.2 million people who collected their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) are eligible to vote in the General Elections, the Elections may have low voter turnout because of cash shortages  and security fears.

• The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has revealed that the Presidential and National Assembly Election Results will be out by Monday, February 27th 2023
• The Nigeria 2024 election closes at 2.30 p.m. local time
• Note however that INEC will extend voting hours for those already in queues by 2.30 p.m.
• After the voting, INEC officials will begin counting ballots, with the votes for president being tallied first.
• Candidates are to secure the majority vote and more than 25% of ballots in at least 24 of Nigeria’s 36 states to be president elect. If no candidate meets the stated requirement, a new election shall be held within 14 days in which the winner will compete against the runner-up.
