Their joint efforts aim to register 12.7 million births in 2025, providing birth certificates for children under the age of 5. These birth certificates will contain the child’s name and nationality. The registration process will take place in 21 states, covering 456 local government areas (LGAs) and 4,978 wards throughout the country.
• The primary objective of this partnership is to benefit a minimum of 12 million children under the age of 5 in Nigeria. The partnership agreement outlines the specific terms and conditions under which the collaborative effort will be carried out.

1. NYSC will deploy 850 corps members as coordinators and supervisors to oversee the birth registration process in the country
2. NPC will provide training and support for the selected corps members, as well as recruit ad hoc birth registrars at the ward level.
