WAEC Officially Extends Registration For WASSCE Candidates, Gives Notice On Timetable

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC ) has once again extended the registration period for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, 2020 to Tuesday, 30th June.

This comes after its initial extension to 30th May. This was made known in a release on the social media handles of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC ).

The extension of the WAEC WASSCE registration period is as a result of  the COVID-19 pandemic. The Council also reassured candidates that it will in due course make available to all stakeholders the timetable for the conduct of the WASSCE 2020 exams. This was made known with the following statement:

“WAEC has NOT released the timetable for WASSCE and BECE for School Candidates, 2020. The Council will in due course make available to all stakeholders the timetable for the conduct of the examination”

This comes as result of circulation of fake WASSCE and BECE timetable. WAEC  advises the general public to disregard such schemes and urges everyone to adhere to the protocols put in place by the government to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.
