The general public is hereby reminded that 3rdJanuary, 2022 is a public holiday.

3rdJanuary, 2022  is a public holiday and should be observed accordingly. This is because 1st January, 2022 which marks New Year’s Day falls on a Saturday as such by Executive Instrument (E.I), in accordance with Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act, (Act 601) declares Monday, 3rdJanuary, 2022 as an additional Public Holiday intead.

The general public is hereby notified that Saturday, 1st January, 2022 marks New Year’s Day which is a Statutory Public Holiday.

However, in view of the fact that 1stJanuary, 2022 falls on a Saturday, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana, has by Executive Instrument (E.I), in accordance with Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act, (Act 601) declared Monday, 3rdJanuary, 2022 as an additional Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.
