Details: National Service Validation For Teacher Trainees To Begin In December – Gifty Oware Aboagye
The Management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) released for registration a total of One Hundred and Eleven Thousand Six Hundred and Thirteen (111,613) PIN Codes for eligible Ghanaian final year students from all accredited Tertiary Institutions in the country to enable them enroll to do their mandatory national service for the 2020/2021 service year.
Following the release of this publication, final year trainee teachers have shown concerns as to whether they form part of those who have been beseeched to register for the National Service.
According to the Deputy Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Mrs. Gifty Oware Aboagye, final year trainee teachers are not part of the release of the NSS registration. She said, the release was made for final year students from the various universities across the country.
She futher added that, prospective final year trainees’ will begin the national service validation in the month of December and start officially in the month of January, 2021. Management of the National Service Scheme however, beseech all final year student teachers of the various colleges of education to withdraw from this registration as our period for the national service enrollment is not due.
