EC Voter ID Registration For Senior High School Students Begins Nationwide
The Electoral Commission (EC) has commenced the Voter ID registration of for eligible Senior High School (SHS) Students nationwide. This was made known with the following statement.
REGISTRATION OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY
The Electoral Commission wishes to inform the general public that, it will embark on a two (2) day registration exercise for all eligible Senior High School students across the country. This registration exercise Take place in all Senior High Schools that do not have polling stations (registration centers) within the schools.
All qualified Senior High School Students who are 18 years and above, are encouraged to present themselves at these registration centres within their schools with either a National Identity Card (Ghana Card) or a Ghana Passport. In the absence of any of these two documents, eligible applicants can use two guarantors who have already registered as voters guarantee for them.
The Commission will ensure that all Covid-19 safety protocols are strictly adhered to and also guarantee the safety of all applicants and the registration officials This exercise will take place from Friday, 10 July to Saturday, 11 July, 2020.
However, additional days will be announced when becomes necessary to ensure that all
eligible applicants are registered
Political Parties are entreated to send their Agents to these centres and all Stakeholders are encouraged to make this exercise a success.
