• After the re-instatement of the Trimester system, The academic calendar for Kindergarten, Basic and Junior High School are as follows.

GES Academic Calendar For Basic Schools 1st Term

1st Term Academic Calendar is as follows:

1. The reopening date for the first term of KG, Basic 1 to 6, JHS 1 (Basic 7) and JHS 2 (Basic 8) students is 10th September, 2024, and they will attend school until 19th December 2024.
2. The vacation period for KG, Basic 1 to 6, JHS 1 (Basic 7) and JHS 2 (Basic 8) students for the first term is from 20th December, 2024, to 7th January, 2025.

GES Academic Calendar For Basic Schools 2nd Term

1. The second term reopening date for KG, Basic 1 to 6, JHS 1 (Basic 7) and JHS 2 (Basic 8) students is 8th January 2025, and they will remain in school until 17th April, 2025
2. The vacation period for KG, Basic 1 to 6, JHS 1 (Basic 7) and JHS 2 (Basic 8) students for the second term is from 18^th April 2025 To 5^th May 2025 

GES Academic Calendar For Basic Schools 3rd Term

1. The reopening date for the third term for KG, Basic 1 to 6, JHS 1 (Basic 7) and JHS 2 (Basic 8) students is 6th May 2025, and they will attend school until 24^th July, 2025.
2. The vacation period for KG, Basic 1 to 6, JHS 1 (Basic 7) and JHS 2 (Basic 8) students for the third term is from 24^th July, 2025.

GES Academic Calendar For JHS 3 1st Term

1st Term Academic Calendar is as follows:

1. The reopening date for the first term of JHS 3 (Basic 9) students is 10th September, 2024, and they will be in school until 19th December 2024.
2. The vacation period for the first term for JHS 3 (Basic 9) students is from 20th December, 2024, to 7th January, 2025.

2nd Term Academic Calendar is as follows:

1. The reopening date for the second term for JHS 3 (Basic 9) students is 8th January 2025, and they will remain in school until 17th April, 2025
2. The vacation period for the second term for JHS 3 (Basic 9) students is from 18^th April 2025 To 5^th May 2025

3rd Term Academic Calendar is as follows:

1. The reopening date for the third term for JHS 3 (Basic 9) students is 6th May 2025, and they will take the BECE exams in July 2025.
