GES Reschedule Reopening Date – Academic Calendar Revised

Although SHS 3 students were expected to resume for the session of the first semester on Wednesday, 7th April 2021. All SHS 3 are now to reopen on 5th May .

This is as stated in a release on the Official Facebook Page of GES indicating that the Reopening For SHS 3 Students have Been Rescheduled to 5th May.

GES Revises Academic Calendar

The official release reads as follows: Management of GES has considered a proposal from CHASS and has therefore revised the academic calendar for SHS as follows

• Reopening for SHS 3 students have been rescheduled to 5th May
• This applies to all Form 3 students in both single track and double track schools.
• Further details will be announced soon.
• All other arrangements on the calendar remain the same

New Academic Calendar

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has revised the academic calendar for the final year senior high school students. The information indicates that management of GES after further deliberations with the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) has revised the academic calendar.
Therefore, the reopening for all SHS form 3 students has been rescheduled to 5th may. The new date applies to all schools both singe and double track.
The new date however does not affect proposed instructional hours  prior to the WASSCE.
