Gold Track Academic Calendar

Despite the delay in releasing the Gold Track Academic Calendar, GES is set to release a stable Gold Track Academic Calendar that looks beyond 2022, 2023, 2024.

This comes after the GES consultation with the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) concerning the Gold Track Academic Calendar and the release of the finalized reopening date for SHS 1 and SHS 2.

Gold Track Academic Calendar

  • GES is running the final draft by heads of schools and other stakeholders for their input.
  • Since the government has included the TVET schools in the Free SHS policy, it is necessary for the team working on the academic calendar to reconcile and have a workable calendar that will take into consideration TVET schools.
  • The new Gold Track calendar will ensure that it takes into consideration the lost time as a result of Covid-19 so that students can catch up.
  • The GES has stated that the 2022 academic calendar will be out soon. This is as stated by the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES) .

  1. Please when will SHS 2 vacate after reporting on the 5th January.
    Again when will they report for form 3.
