How To Apply For Financial Support On No Fees Stress Portal

The government of Ghana, through the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF), has launched the No Fees Stress Portal to provide financial assistance to first-year students enrolled in accredited public tertiary institutions.

This initiative aims to alleviate financial barriers and promote inclusive access to higher education across the country.​

 

About The No Fees Stress Policy

  • The No Fees Stress policy is a groundbreaking effort aimed at easing the financial challenges that prevent access to tertiary education. It represents a forward-thinking move to strengthen Ghana’s human capital and long-term economic competitiveness.
  • In line with the Government of Ghana’s commitment to expanding access to higher education and lessening the financial strain on newly admitted students, the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) operating under the Ministry of Education has introduced a digital platform. This portal allows first-year students in public tertiary institutions to apply for government-backed financial assistance.

 

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for financial support via the No-Fees-Stress Portal, applicants must:​

  • Be a first-year student enrolled in an accredited program at a public tertiary institution in Ghana.
  • Possess a valid Ghana Card.
  • Have a personal email address.
  • Register for an e-zwich card.
  • Consent to the creation of a Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) account if one is not already held

  1. Access the Portal: Visit the official No-Fees-Stress Portal at https://nofeesstress.sltf.gov.gh.
  2. Create an Account: Register by providing your personal and academic details.
  3. Complete the Application: Fill out the application form with accurate information.
  4. Submit Required Documents: Upload any necessary documentation to support your application.

  • Data will strictly be utilized for processing loan applications and facilitating financial disbursement through the intermediary bank.​
