About NPF Recruitment
- The primary law enforcement body in Nigeria is the Nigeria Police Force, with personnel deployed throughout the nation’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
- The Inspector General of Police oversees the command and control of the force. To streamline operations, the force is structured into eight administrative departments. NPF Recruitment Requirements – General Duty
- Prospective candidates should have Nigerian citizenship by birth and be in possession of the National Identification Number (NIN).
- They must achieve a minimum of 5 credits in a maximum of 2 sittings in WAEC/NECO or an equivalent exam, including credit passes in English and Mathematics.
- Age-wise, candidates should fall within the range of 18-25 years for General Duty.
- Additionally, candidates need to meet specific health criteria, including medical, physical, and psychological fitness, with a minimum height requirement of 167m for males and 1.64m for females.
- Male candidates should have an expanded chest measurement of not less than 86cm (34 inches). Female candidates should not be pregnant at the time of application.
- Moreover, candidates are required to possess a valid email address and phone number.
- Notably, statements of results or certificates predating 2015 will not be accepted.
- Lastly, candidates should maintain good financial standing and possess a clean criminal record.
NPF Recruitment Requirements – Specialist (Artisan)
- Candidates must be Nigerian citizens by birth and possess the National Identification Number (NIN).
- They should have at least 4 credits, obtained in no more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/SSCE or its equivalent, with credit passes in both English and Mathematics. Medical/Veterinary Assistants, on the other hand, need a minimum of 5 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/SSCE or its equivalent, with credit passes in English and Mathematics.
- Possession of any relevant certificates in the respective fields would be an added advantage.
- The age bracket for candidates is 18-28 years. Candidates must meet specific health criteria, including medical, physical, and psychological fitness, and should not be shorter than 1.67m for males and 1.64m for females. Male candidates should have an expanded chest measurement of not less than 86cm (34 inches).
- Female candidates should not be pregnant at the time of application. Academic documents or certificates relating to examinations taken before 2014 will not be accepted.
- Additionally, candidates should have a clean financial record and should not have any prior criminal convictions.
NPF Recruitment Documents Required
Applicants ore to present the originals of the following documents during the Automated Physical Screening Exercise:
- Educational Qualifications
- Birth Certificates/Declaration of Age
- Evidence of physical/mental fitness from o government recognized Hospital.
- Guarantor Form endorsed by a Public Servant not below the rank o! GL I3, Police Officer not below the rank of CSP or its equivalent from the Armed Forces and other Paramilitary services.
- Evidence of good character from village/district head of the applicant.
- Indigene Certificate signed by Local Government Chairman a Secretary.
How to Apply For NPF Recruitment
- To start the application for NPF Recruitment, begin by visiting the official Nigeria Police recruitment portal at www.apply.policerecruitment.gov.ng
- Proceed to fill out the registration form for NPF Recruitment.
- Then, upload scanned copies of your SSCE, Birth, and Certificates of Origin. Ensure to include all the required documents relevant to the position you are applying for.
- Next, submit your application and print the acknowledgment slip.

NPF Recruitment Training
- Successful Applicants enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force will undergo Academic and physical training leading to the employment of the successful ones into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables (PC).
Police Recruitment Application Deadline
- The online application portal is for six weeks from 15th October to 26th November 2024, where prospective applicants are required to complete the online application forms and submit them within the specified period.
