NSS Dashboard Allowance

According to the Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Gifty Oware-Mensah, plans are underway for the NSS to increase the National Service Personnel’s allowance.

As disclosed in an interview by her, the National Service Scheme (NSS) placed a proposal before the Education Committee in the Parliament and will be implemented when approved.

NSS Allowance Increment

She stated that the secretariat is demanding an increment beyond GH¢800.00 for National Service Personnel nationwide. This was made known with the following statement:
“We can come up with the figures when it goes for appropriation, but at this point, what I can say confidently, is the fact that it will be more than the GH¢800”

About NSS Dashboard Allowance

Prior to this, the “Coalition of Suffering National Service Personnel” organized a demonstration in to air their displeasure about their allowances.
The National Service Personnel were demanding an increment in their allowance because of the high cost of living in relation to their allowance.
