The person in this role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms, hallways, public areas on the floor, and storage areas, following the hotel’s set standards.

Key Duties:

Clean assigned guest rooms based on hotel standards, including tasks like making beds, dusting furniture, replenishing supplies, cleaning bathrooms, and vacuuming carpets.
While cleaning, ensure all items are in proper working condition and report any needed repairs to the Supervisor.
Clean hallways and public areas near assigned rooms, and ensure cleanliness of equipment and storage areas.
Stay updated on hotel services and products to address guest inquiries.
Respond to guest questions and requests in a friendly and helpful manner, or refer them to the appropriate staff if necessary. Requests might include providing extra items like towels.
Record important details on assignment sheets for future reference and report any special guest needs, unusual occurrences, or incidents at the end of the shift to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction.
Check the condition of rooms and report any discrepancies to the Order Taker.
Immediately report any lost and found items to the Supervisor and arrange to bring them to the appropriate department.
Perform turn-down service in assigned guest rooms as per hotel standards, which may involve tasks like turning down beds, replenishing supplies, and cleaning the bathroom if needed. Help manage guest and cleaning supplies efficiently to minimize costs.
Clean rooms for late check-outs and attend to any last-minute guest requests as per hotel standards, including bed making, dusting, restocking supplies, and vacuuming.
Maintain equipment and storage areas in an organized and clean condition.
Continuously update your knowledge of hotel services and products to provide accurate answers to guest questions.

Required Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of experience in housekeeping, ideally in a five-star hotel.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Flexible with work schedules.
Physically capable of cleaning 15 rooms per day, as well as pushing and pulling housekeeping carts.
Ability to work independently while meeting high-performance standards.
Ability to follow detailed instructions.
