Solutions Specialist at Telecel Ghana
This role involves collaborating with various departments, including Business Units, Revenue Assurance, Corporate Security, Finance, and Technology teams, to assess, design, develop, implement, and deliver comprehensive IT solutions.
The position focuses on integrating Freelancer and Retail Systems, Provisioning & Activation platforms, Products and Tariffs, Offers, Value-Added Services, Telecel Cash, Campaign Management, and other related systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end solution design process for complex business needs, working closely with the design authority, delivery management, and operational teams.
- Configure tariffs and other advanced settings within the Online Charging System (OCS).
- Actively participate in the development of mobile and fixed network products, including prepaid and postpaid plans, value-added services, Telecel Cash, and campaign management solutions.
- Ensure the successful delivery of solutions in alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) established with Business Units.
- Provide support for the maintenance and enhancement of applications and product functionalities.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- At least three years of experience configuring Online Charging Systems.
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into effective solution designs.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the capability to lead teams and collaborate efficiently.
- Proven ability to manage and execute projects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration, present insights, and drive implementation efforts.
Essential Technical & Professional Qualifications
- A degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in Charging, Rating, and Billing systems, as well as protocols such as TCP/IP, SIGTRAN, CAMEL, Diameter, SMPP, and MAP.
- Comprehensive understanding of IT systems, Online Charging Systems, Converged Charging and Billing platforms, and Mobile Financial Services.
- Proficiency in telecom-related solutions, including USSD, SMS, IVR, and other Value-Added Services.
- Experience in business and customer requirement analysis for telecom and IT networks, backend systems, service development, and operating environments (Unix, Linux, Windows).
- Knowledge of database administration, application development (Shell Scripting, Java, PHP, Python, .Net), and API-based integrations (SOAP/XML, REST APIs, Web Services).
- Expertise in research & development, architecture & design, testing & evaluation, and system implementation & integration.
