In accordance with regulation, the Electoral Commission exhibits the Provisional Voters Register for inspection by voters at designated Polling Stations nationwide.

The Electoral Commission (EC) has introduced an SMS Short Code to enable registered Voters access their registration details on phone.

This forms part of preparation towards the conduct of the district level elections and subsequently the national and General elections.

About EC Voters Register Exhibition Short Code

The exhibition exercise starts at 7 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m throughout the period of the exercise.
The purpose of the exhibition exercise is to allow prospective voters to verify their details as captured during the registration exercise and make requests for amendments or insertions where necessary and whether they were assigned to their correct polling stations or not.
The Voters Exhibition Exercise allows registered voters to do the following:
1. Review their name, personal information, and other details to make necessary corrections.
2. Challenge the inclusion of ineligible names in the register
3. Obtain new photographs in cases where the existing ones are unclear.
4. Confirm their Polling Station details in preparation for the upcoming election.

To check your registration details on phone through SMS Short Code for the 2024/2025 Voters Register Exhibition exercise, simply dial the short code *713*81#
Enter your 10 digit voter ID number
A prompt would show requiring you to confirm payment of 0.60 pesewas to receive your voter verification Details.
If you do not receive the payment prompt, go to the approvals section of your momo wallet to approve the transaction.
After payment confirmation, your voter ID Details will be sent to you by SMS.
If you detect any errors in your displayed details, visit an appropriate exhibition center to report the errors and have it corrected

Process To Verify EC Voters Register

District Registration Review Officers, who are District Court Magistrates, have been designated in all 268 districts to receive the provisional voters’ registers, as well as other lists and forms that contain complaints and objections raised by voters during the exhibition process. They are responsible for evaluating each case and officially endorsing each page of the register to validate its accuracy.
Voters are encouraged to visit the exhibition centers with their voter identity cards to confirm their information. Registered voters who do not have their Voter ID Cards on hand can also verify their details.
During the exhibition process, individuals can request various actions, including adding omitted names, objecting to the inclusion of unqualified voters on the register, removing names of deceased voters, and obtaining replacements for damaged or poor-quality Voter ID Cards. Additionally, corrections for misspelled names, rectifying incorrect registration center codes, and amending other registration details, such as age and gender, due to clerical errors, can also be requested.

Process To Change Details

To make changes or corrections, such as complete change of the name of a voter or addition of new names, change of polling station code, change of photographs and inclusion of omitted names, you are required to go to the District Office of the Electoral Commission for a biometric verification for the change to be made
To maintain transparency throughout the process, individuals accompanying registered voters who may have physical limitations, as well as those accredited by the Commission (including party representatives, journalists, and observers), are also permitted to visit the exhibition centers.
