BECE / SHS Placement And E-Voucher Purchase New Directives
Here are details on the new directive on how to buy E-Voucher, check BECE / SHS Placement and do the self placement for the academic year according to the Ghana Education Service (GES) from 8th September onwards. The Ghana Education Service (GES) has made a U-turn on its BECE /SHS Placement and E-Voucher purchase procedures for the BECE /SHS Placement.
Prior to the launching of the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), the Ghana Education Service (GES) gave concise procedures on how to buy the e-voucher, check placement and do self placement as a prospective Senior High School (SHS) student, in case the Automatic Placement System (APS) did not offer a Basic Education Certificate Education (BECE) graduate a placement. The initial directive was covered in this article BECE School Placement and How To Do Self Placement .

However, right after the opening of the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) on 8th September , the Ghana Education Service (GES) has given a new directive as to how to go about the e-voucher. Initially it was supposed to be a code given to you after purchase on the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) platform through mobile money or authorized vendors with which you would use to check placement and do the self placement if need be.
But after a series of complaints on their Facebook page about how people who bought the vouchers in bulk were still restricted to using one out of the many, they made U-turn on their initial directive. Here is one of such complaints:

SHS PLACEMENT E-VOUCHER COMPLAINTS
I bought 10 placement vouchers for GH¢50.00 by MTN Momo with Transaction ID: 6659459648 on cssps.org website sent to ___@gmail.com. I could only use one. The rest I am told are ‘invalid vouchers’ on entry.
1. Could you help rectify this problem?
2. I also realized the ‘buy voucher module’ on the website cssps.org/cssps.gov.gh is removed and replaced with ‘Approved eVoucher Vendors’. And that, payment of vouchers are done through third parties creating a great inconvenience to some of us. Could you tell us why?
And yes the “Buy E-Voucher” button of the website has been removed. What this implies is that the electronic e-voucher payment system is faulty and as such they are resorting to manual vending of the e-vouchers by approved vendors check a list of approved e voucher vendors in this article: BECE / SHS School Placement Approved E-Voucher Vendors .
Also the directives given to check for placement and do the self placement as stated here: BECE School Placement and How To Do Self Placement   has changed.
New Directive On How to Purchase The BECE / SHS Placement E-Voucher
So from now on to by an e-voucher to check your BECE /SHS Placement and subsequently do the self placement if need be, you have to buy from an authorized e-voucher vendor as stated here: BECE / SHS School Placement Approved E-Voucher Vendors
And if for any reason the “Buy E-Voucher” button is restored on the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) website, there will be nothing like a code to be sent to you. Instead, as soon as you purchase the voucher on the website, you are redirected by the system to the page where you are to just click on “Check Placement” for the voucher to be applied. Here is the statement by the Ghana Education Service (GES) concerning that. This statement was made on their Facebook page right after the opening of the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) and a series of complaints started mounting on the “fault” with the electronic payment system on the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) website through mobile money. This statement was made on 8th September.
Please take note, as soon as you purchase the voucher, you are directed to the portal.
Click check placement.
That is all, no code is sent.
