GAF Recruitment Requirements

Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Recruitment applicants are to have the following eligibility requirements;

1. You Must be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
2. You Should be of good character.
3. Not be less than 20 years and not more than 26 years by 6th June, for Regular Commission and not more than 30 years by Thursday 2nd May, for Short Service Commission.
4. You Should be medically fit by GAF standard.
5. You Must Not be bonded.
6. You Must Not be married (for Regular Officer Candidates only).
7. You Should be of minimum height of 1.68m (5’6”) for males and 1.60m (5’4”) for females.
8. For Military Police; the minimum height for male applicants should be 1.75m (5`9“) and 1.70m (5’ 7”) for females and Must have the following:
9. (1) BECE certification with Six (6) Passes at BECE including English and Mathematics.
10. (2) WASSCE certification with Six (6) Credits (not less than C6) including Core English and Core Mathematics.
11. OR SSSCE certification with Six (6) Credits (not less than D) including Core English and Core Mathematics.
12. OR GCE ‘O’ & ‘A’ Levels certification with Five (5) Credits (not less than 6) including English and Mathematics at GCE ‘O’ Level and not less than D in three subjects and General Paper at GCE ‘A’ Level.

How To Apply For GAF Recruitment

1. You should First Acquire a scratch card at Three Hundred and Fifty Cedi (GH¢350.00) from the following designated Post Offices:
2. Then gently scratch gently to reveal the “PIN” code. The scratch card can be used for three times until a record is successfully submitted.
3. Then Log on to the recruitment portal at: https://gafrecruitment.mil.gh/
4. Afterwards read through the entry requirements thoroughly.
5. Next, click on the “Apply Now” tab to access the applicant authentication page. Subsequently, input your card’s Serial Number, PIN code, and select your preferred Arm of Service and type of commission, then click “Submit.”
6. Proceed to provide your personal details and make note of the following information from pages 1 to 3:On Page 1, select your desired vacancy and complete all other required fields.
   On Page 2, upload a scanned copy of your passport-sized photograph with dimensions of 200 x 180 pixels, provide a valid email address, your personal mobile phone number in the format (233244123456), and any other necessary details.
7. On Page 3, enter the results of only the three essential core subjects from your WASSCE/SSCE results slip, namely CORE MATHEMATICS and CORE ENGLISH. Include your WASSCE or SSSCE Index number, WASSCE or SSSCE results slip Serial Number, and select a Tertiary Institution from the provided list.
8. Also, enter your graduating GPA/CWA and supply all other necessary information. Upload scanned copies of the following documents: WASSCE or SSSCE Results Slip and First Degree/Certificate (Degree). Note that each scanned document (passport picture, WASSCE or SSSCE Results Slip, First Degree/Certificate) should not exceed 1 (one) megabyte and must be in JPEG picture format.
9. Once this is complete, click on the “Preview” button to review a summary page of all the data you’ve provided. Carefully go through this page and use the back button for any necessary modifications.
10. Finally, click on the “Submit” button and anticipate an immediate email and text message containing your unique system-generated Identification Number. Make sure to print and retain a copy of the generated report, as you may be required to present it if you are shortlisted. In the event that you lose your copy of the final report, return to the recruitment portal, click on the “Check Details” tab, enter the unique identification number sent to you via SMS/email, and request a re-print.
