- The Ghana Education Service is requesting applications from qualified trained teachers who have Diploma in Basic Education Certificate to be considered for employment.
GES Recruitment Responsibilities
- To facilitate Learning using 21v’eentury technology
- Continuously improve learner’s abilty to research using new technologies
- Teach highly motivated learners. cater for learners with different learning
- abilities and help them achieve excellent academic results
- Attend relevant and continuous professional development sessions
- Use a variety of assessment tools and tasks to accurately assess levels of learners’ competency
- Any other responsibifity that would be assigned to you by your Head Of Institution
GES Recruitment Requirements
Applicants who wish to apply should meet the following criteria:
- Must have completed Diploma in Basic Education programme and has no Outstanding examination or referrals.
- Must have completed the mandatory National Service.
- Must have passed the National Teacher Licensure Examination.
- Must be ready to work wherever his/her services would be needed.
How To Apply For GES Recruitment
- To apply for the GES Recruitment for Newly Trained Teachers go to www.gespromotions.gov.gh and click on “Click To Apply” button.
- Afterwards Provide the following details in the “Personal Details” section
- Your first name
- Your Last name
- Your Date of birth
- Your Place of birth
- Your region of birth
- Your Nationality
- Your Marital status
- Your Your E-mail
- Phone number
- Then Provide the following details in the Certificate Section
- Your GTLE number
- Your index number
- Your NSS number
- Your District of NSS posting
- Your Region of NSS posting
- Your Year of completing NSS
- Afterwards navigate to the upload section, and upload your passport picture and certificates with the following steps
- Navigate to the file upload passport picture section, then click choose file, select your passport picture from your files and click on the upload passport picture button
- Afterwards Follow the same procedure above to upload your various certificates
- After uploading your certificates, go look through the previewed application to make sure your details are correct. The areas you uploaded your document should be GREEN and VIEW DOCUMENT button should show.
- Finally click on the submit application button will to submit the form.

We are in an era where one will complete diploma in basic education for six years without job.
Even the licensure certificate obtained to qualify you teach gets expired without job in hand
This is because of our ghanian corruptible leaders who are so self centered, just to gain wealth for their family without thinking of the people”no body” who put them there.
Why do we have so wicked and delivish learders in this country.
There’s nothing on recruitment in the ges sector but trust me before you come to know they are done with the process.
I’m highly disappointed in this gorvement especially.

Why look for a job while you did not pass through the mainstream. When you attend College of Education, you are being posted. You you attend Distance program or University, you apply for job provided there is vacancy.
Majorities of young ones just offer a program for program sake without seeking guidance. For instance, in GES, distance and sandwich programs are for upgrading of knowledge in the field you find yourself. The shortcuts create these burdens we find ourselves in.
We go to school to gain knowledge and understanding so that we will know how to plan life, but concentrating on one sector makes us not problem solvers for our own good.
Creativity and analytical thinking with the can-do spirit of self-reliance is a key to moving and creating a job within our own scope by identifying opportunities around.
I know about 8 guys who are distance and university graduates doing wonderfully well in their own business. 3 of them turned down the GES offer they got after doing their own business for a year.
OUR CURRENT PROBLEM IS GUIDANCE AND COUNSELLING. we need to revisit it and start from the Pre tertiary education sector.
