GES Recruitment Vacancies Declaration

A letter sighted by us indicates that GES has begun gathering information concerning available vacancies in the various Senior High Schools (SHS’s) in Ghana.

This is as stated in a release signed by Mrs. Martha Owusu Agyeman, Regional director of education, for distribution to All heads of second cycle schools and to All metropolitan /municipal and district directors of education.

Declaration Of Vacancies For Teaching Personnel In Senior High Schools – Central

• It is urgently requested from all Heads of Senior High/Technical Schools to declare vacancies for CRITICALLY needed teachers to aid Management decision.
• Owing to the fluidity of the system with regards to new appointments, reposting and other attritions, all Heads are respectfully entreated to validate and update data on vacancy declaration to ensure that the request reflects the real needs of the schools, taking into consideration the number of periods/hours each teacher is expected to teach in a week to help avoid overstaffing and to allow for equitable distribution of teachers. You are kindly requested to use the attached template for the task and submit same to the Regional Education Office email: central@ges.gov.gh, latest by 12:00 noon on Thursday, I Ith August, 2022.
• Please, you are to note that the template requires that you indicate the number of teachers available and the number needed, subject by subject.
