Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment Eligibility

Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment applicants are to have the following eligibility requirements;

1. Must be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
2. Should be of good character.
3. You should be not less than 18 years of age and not more than 25 years for Non-Tradesmen and not more than 27 years for Tradesmen by December 30
4. Should be medically fit by Ghana Armed Forces standard.
5. Must Not be bonded.
6. Must Not be married (for Regular Officer Candidates only).
7. Should be of minimum minimum height of 1.68m (5’6″) for males and 1.57m (5’2″) for females.
8. For Military Police; the minimum height for male applicants should be 1.75m (5`9“) and 1.70m (5’ 7”) for females and Must have the following:

10. (2) WASSCE certification with Six (6) Credits (not less than C6) including Core English and Core Mathematics.
11. OR SSSCE certification with Six (6) Credits (not less than D) including Core English and Core Mathematics.
12. OR GCE ‘O’ & ‘A’ Levels certification with Five (5) Credits (not less than 6) including English and Mathematics at GCE ‘O’ Level and not less than D in three subjects and General Paper at GCE ‘A’ Level.

How To Apply For Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment

1. Eligible Applicants should Acquire a scratch card at FIFTY GHANA CEDIS (GH₵50.00) from the following designated Post Offices:
2. Then gently scratch gently to reveal the “PIN” code. The scratch card can be used for three times until a record is successfully submitted.
3. Afterwards Log on to the recruitment portal at @ https://gafrecruitment.mil.gh/
4. with any of the following browsers: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome.
5. Then read through the entry requirements thoroughly.
6. Afterwards Click on the Apply Now Tab to open the applicant authentication page.
7. Then Enter your card Serial Number, PIN code and select your preferred Arm of Service, type of commission and click “Submit”.
8. Afterwards Enter your personal details and take note of the following from pages 1 to 3:
9. Page 1: Select your desired vacancy and provide all other required data.
10. Page 2: Upload a scanned copy of your passport-sized photograph of dimension (200 x 180 pixels), enter a valid e-mail address, personal mobile phone number in the format (233244123456) and enter any other required data.
11. Page 3: Enter the results of only the three required core subjects on your WASSCE/SSCE results slip, that is; CORE MATHEMATICSAND CORE ENGLISH. Enter your WASSCE or SSSCE Index number, WASSCE or SSSCE results slip Serial Number and select a Tertiary Institution from the list of schools.
12. Then Enter your graduating GPA/CWA and provide all other required data. Upload only scanned copies of the following; WASSCE or SSSCE Results Slip and First Degree/Certificate (Degree). NB: Each scanned document (Passport picture, WASSCE or SSSCE Results Slip, First Degree/Certificate) to be uploaded, should not exceed 1 (One) Megabyte and should be in JPEG picture format only.
13. Afterwards Click on the Preview button to see a summary page of all data provided. Read through this page carefully and click on the back button, if there are any modifications to be made.
14. Then Click on the submit button and expect an instant e-mail and text message, which includes your unique system generated Identification Number.
15. Afterwards Print and keep a copy of the generated report as you will be required to present it, if you are shortlisted. However, if you lose your copy of the final report, go back to the recruitment portal, click on the Check Details Tab, enter your unique identification number sent to you by SMS/E-mail and order a re-print.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should not be more than 30 years by 2nd May 2021 and must have a First Degree from a recognized University or equivalent Professional Institution in any of the following:

1. Bachelor of Law, LLB.
2. Barrister at Law (BL) certificate.
3. Must have done Pupillage and 3 years Post Call working experience.

Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment As MEDICAL Officer (Medical Services)

a. Medical Specialist Recruitment.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicant should have MB ChB/BDS or its equivalent from an accredited institution plus a relevant post-graduate qualification to the level of Fellowship or its equivalent from an accredited College. Applicants must have permanent registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana and must not be more than 40 years of age by 2nd May 2021.

b. Medical Officer and Dental Surgeon Recruitment.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicant should have MB ChB/BDS or its equivalent from an accredited University/Institution. Must have permanent registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana. At least one (1) year working experience after housemanship in a recognized health facility and must not be more than 35 years of age by 2nd May 2021.

c. Pharmacist Recruitment.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicant should have Bachelor/Doctor of Pharmacy (BPharm/PharmD) from an accredited University/Institution. Applicant must have at least two (2) years working experience as a Pharmacist in an accredited health facility and must be registered with the Pharmacy Council of Ghana. Must not be more than 30 years of age by 2nd May 2021.

d. Physician Assistant (Medical) Recruitment.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicant should have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognized University/Institution in Physician Assistantship or its equivalent. Must have completed the mandatory clinical rotation and practised for at least three (3) years post permanent registration. Applicants with First Degree not below Second Class Lower in Physician Assistantship plus Advanced Diploma in Community Medicine and Health who have worked for at least two (2) years could also apply. Applicants must have permanent registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana and must not be more than 33 years of age by 2nd May 2021.

e. Nursing/Health Tutor Recruitment.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should have MPhil in Nursing/Midwifery or MSc/MA in Nursing/Midwifery with postgraduate Diploma/Certificate in Education. Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana. At least one (1) year teaching experience in an accredited Nursing/Midwifery institution is required and must not be more than 35 years of age by 2nd May 2021.

f. Specialized Nurses Recruitment.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognized University/Institution in any of the following nursing specialties; Critical Care, Emergency Care, ENT, Ophthalmic, Peri-operative Paediatrics, and Dialysis. At least two (2) years working experience post permanent registration in a recognized health facility is required. Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana and must not be more than 33 years of age by 2nd May 2021.

g. Midwifery Officer Recruitment.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognized University/Institution in Midwifery. Must have completed the mandatory clinical rotation and have practiced for at least three (3) years post permanent registration. Applicants with Registered Midwifery (RM) certificate in addition to the First Degree in Midwifery must have practised for two (2) years post permanent registration. All applicants should not be more than 33 years of age by 2nd May 2021 and must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.

h. Certified Registered Anaesthetist Recruitment.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognized University/Institution in Anaesthesia and at least three (3) years work experience in an accredited health facility. Applicants with a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognized University/Institution in Anaesthesia plus Advanced Diploma in Nurse Anaesthesia and at least two (2) years working experience in an accredited health facility are eligible to apply. All must be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana and must not be more than 33 years of age by 2nd May 2021.

Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment As Chaplain.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should be and have the following:

1. First Degree not below Second Class Lower (BA) in Theology or Religion from a recognised University/Theological Seminary/College.
2. An ordained Minister of the Methodist, Presbyterian, Evangelical Presbyterian, SDA and the Church of Pentecost and be recommended for commissioning into the Ghana Armed Forces by the Head of the Church.
3. A minimum of four (4) years pastoral working and probation/internship experience including two (2) years post ordination service in the pastoral field.
4. Ability to speak English and at least one of the main Ghanaian languages fluently.
5. Must not be more than 35years of age by 2nd May 2021.

Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment As Imam .

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should be and have the following:

1. First Degree not below Second Class Lower in Islamic Theology (Religion) from a recognized University, Islamic Institution or College.
2. An Alim Phedeen (Islamic Theologian).
3. Fluent in both spoken Arabic and English Languages.
4. Ability to read and write good Arabic and English Languages.
5. Practised as Imam for four (4) years and be recognized by a recognised Islamic Religious Institution/Body in Ghana.
6. Recommended for commission into the Ghana Armed Forces by the Head of a recognized Islamic body in Ghana and must not be more than 35 years of age by 2nd May 2021.

Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment As Forces Pay Corps.

In addition to the general eligibility, applicants should not be more than 30 years of age by 2nd May 2021 and must have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower and a Masters Degree from a recognized University/Institution in any of the following:
