Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment Requirements

Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Recruitment applicants are to have the following eligibility requirements;

1. You should be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
2. You Should be of good character.
3. You should not be less than 18 years and not more than 26 years by 30 March 2024 (Applicable to Regular Cadets Only).
4. You must be medically fit by Ghana Armed Forces standards.
5. You must pass the Pre-Joining Fitness Test.
6. Applicants must Not be bonded.
7. Applicants must Not be married (for Regular Officer Candidates only).
8. You Should be of minimum height of 1.68m (5’6”) for males and 1.60m (5’2”) for females.
9. For Military Police Applicants Only: the minimum height for male applicants should be 1.75m (5`9“) and 1.70m (5’ 7”) for females and Must have the following: You Must have the following: (A) BECE. Six (6) Credits at BECE including English and Mathematics. (B) WASSCE. Six (6) Credits (not less than C6) including Core English, Core Mathematics and Core Science. Or (C) SSSCE. Six (6) Credits (not less than D) including Core English, Core Mathematics and Core Science. Or (D) GCE ‘O’ & ‘A’ Levels. Five (5) Credits (not less than 6) including English Language and Mathematics at GCE ‘O’ Level and not less than D in three subjects and General Paper at GCE ‘A’ Level. (5) Must have a minimum of First Degree not below Second Class Lower. (NB. Transcripts and Attestations will not be accepted).

How To Apply For Ghana Armed Forces Recruitment

1. To begin the application process buy an Electronic Voucher at THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY GHANA CEDIS (GH₵350.00) from the following designated Post Offices:
2. Afterwards gently scratch gently to reveal the “PIN” code. The scratch card can be used for three times until a record is successfully submitted.
3. Then Log on to the recruitment portal @ https://apply.mil.gh/
4. Then read through the entry requirements thoroughly.
5. Afterwards Click on the Apply Now Tab to open the applicant authentication page.
6. Then Enter your card Serial Number, PIN code and select your preferred Arm of Service, type of commission and click “Submit”.
7. Afterwards enter your personal details and take note of the following from pages 1 to 3:
8. Page 1: Choose your desired job vacancy and complete all the necessary information.
9. Page 2: Upload a scanned passport-sized photo with dimensions of 200 x 180 pixels. Provide a valid email address, your personal mobile phone number (in the format 233244123456), and any other requested details.
10. Page 3: Enter the results for the three required core subjects from your WASSCE/SSCE results, specifically, CORE MATHEMATICS and CORE ENGLISH. Input your WASSCE or SSSCE Index number, WASSCE or SSSCE results slip Serial Number, and select a Tertiary Institution from the school list. Include your graduating GPA/CWA and other requested information. Upload scanned copies of the following: WASSCE or SSSCE Results Slip and First Degree/Certificate (Degree). Note that each scanned document (Passport picture, WASSCE or SSSCE Results Slip, First Degree/Certificate) should not exceed 1 Megabyte in size and should be in JPEG picture format.
11. Next, click the “Preview” button to review all the provided data. Carefully examine this page, and if any changes are needed, click the “back” button.
12. Finally, click the “submit” button and await an immediate email and text message containing your unique system-generated Identification Number.
13. Make sure to print and save a copy of the generated report as it may be required if you are shortlisted. In case you misplace your report, return to the recruitment portal, click on the “Check Details” tab, enter your unique identification number received via SMS/email, and request a re-print.
