About The KNUST Accommodation Portal For Room Reservation
The KNUST accommodation portal is an online room booking system for freshmen admitted to KNUST to reserve their hall of residence before arrival. Previously, freshmen were booking rooms using the Room Allocator system.
How To Apply For KNUST Accommodation On The Room Reservation Portal
- Interested fresh undergraduate students should visit the KNUST accommodation portal: https://halls.knust.edu.gh/
- Login with your Application Number and PIN.
- Then Select the Make a reservation button to view available accommodation.
- Afterwards Read and accept the accommodation instructions.
- Then Select accommodation from the list available.
- Write down the reservation code generated.
- Logout of the system and proceed to pay your accommodation fees at a paypoint
- After payment of residential fees, login to the system to select a room.

Hi please I want to know if the traditional halls are full because I tried several times to book but to no avail .
Please, I don’t get my Username and password for my medical examination for the online filling.
Knust traditional halls are full now.
However private hostels have been arranged for booking by the first year admitted students.
Here is the procedure.
*Guidelines for First Year Private Hostel Booking*
1. Visit accommodation.knust.edu.gh
2. Login with your student ID and PIN
3. Click on book private hostel link down the page.
4. Select a hostel of your choice
5. Search via room criteria
6. Click select room button
7. Fill form and click book room
8. Read instruction and Click download link to download PDF
9. Print Booking details and make payment at CAL Bank.
10. Keep the PayInSlip and Booking details to submit to the hostel on arrival.

And they have made it possible for first years to also book private hostels on the same platform due to the inadequacy of beds in the traditional halls of residence for first years.
