Full Details: Passport Office Resumes Operations Nationwide

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has in an official release, resumed operations at the passport offices after its initial closure to comply with governments directives to contain the coronavirus. The online passport application portal will, however, be open for booking of appointments from Wednesday, May 20.

Initial Closure Of The Passport Offices

 

Passport services were initially suspended at all the Passport Application Centres (PACs) nationwide in March 2020 as governments directives to contain the coronavirus.

However, in a press release on Thursday May 14, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has resumed services at the various Passport Application Centres (PACs) nationwide.

 

Adherence To Safety Protocols

 

To adhere to the government’s COVID-19 safety protocols, visitors to the reopened passport centers must have their face masks and hand sanitizers before they will be granted entry. In addition, all applicants will be required to adhere to social distancing and handwashing protocols. Also only applicants with appointments for capturing will be allowed to enter and must show up only at the time of their appointment.
