  • As part Of effort to reduce the rising rate Of unemployment in the country, the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) in line With the YEA Act 2015 (Act 887), to oversee the development, coordination, supervision and facilitation of employment for the youth and related matters in Ghana and in partnership With the Ghana Police Service is recruiting new personnel into the Community protection Assistants Module

Job Qualifications

  • Applicants must be within the ages of 18-35 years.
  • Minimum qualification Of Senior High School education.

  • Successful applicants will be engaged as beneficiaries of YEA.
    Beneficiaries would be on two (2) years contract Of engagement.

YEA Recruitment Of Community Health Workers (CHWs)

About YEA Recruitment Of Community Health Workers

  • The Youth Employment Agency is partnering the Ghana Health Service to rollout the CHW Programme in line With Regulation I (b) of the Youth Employment Agency Regulation 2016 (L.I. 2231). The Community Health Workers (CBW) programme seeks to augment the community health workforce to improve access to health services in rural communities and contribute to achieving Universal Health Coverage (I_IHC) and responding to COVID•19. Under the programrne, beneficiaries are to be engaged by the Youth Employment Agency to work closely with the Ghana Health Service at the community level. Successful applicants Will be posted strictly to the communities they reside.

Job Qualifications

  • Persons Within the ages Of 18-35 years (females are encouraged to apply)
  • Minimum qualification of Senior High School education with passes in English and Mathematics
  • Applicants must be fluent in English and at least One local language.
  • Ability to use (or learn to use) a smart phone.
  • Only short-listed applicants who successfully complete the CHW training programme will be engaged.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Community Health Worker is not a health professional but a person recruited by the YEA from the community Within which he/she lives and has been given basic orientation to serve as service delivery bridge between the respective communities and service delivery points thereby facilitating the workof Community Health Nurses, Community Health Officers and midwives in the various communities.

  3. I am Ametepeh Julius a former employee of yea as community police assistant stationed at Aveyime police from the 2017 to 2022. I have served well to the capacity of which was a expected of an officer. But unfortunately on the 25th of September 2020 we were attacked by a group called Western Togoland which subjected us to a severe assault in which I nearly loss my sight and life. But YEA which we are working under never asked of my condition not even the and so called coordinators . Aside that our money that they deduct from our allowances for insurance packages invade accident in line of the work Will be paid for your medical expenses to today I have heard anything from YEA. In short I will say those who sees yea as a job employment they will rather push or degrade your life.

This is a splendid idea,just ensure that the candidates have employability skills eg effective communication skills, health and safety at work, confidentiality and how to follow companies policies and procedures and most important a certificate of physical fitness from an occupational health doctor..Also be a good idea to provide them with induction training on the job before they start ..for health care work and police work they will need hepatitis b blood test check
