DVLA New Vehicle Registration

 

Registration By Vehicle Owner

The following documents should be submitted by the vehicle owner:

  • Custom’s documents
  • Two recent coloured passport size pictures of the owner
  • Positive personal Identification Card (Driving Licence, Voter’s ID, Passport, National ID and NHIS ID).

 

Registration By An Authorized Agent

An authorized agent registering on behalf of the owner should, in addition to the documents listed under registration by the vehicle owner present the following:

  • Power of Attorney from the owner (Authority note)
  • Positive ID card of the authorised agent
  • Two passport size picture of the authorised agent.

 

How To Register Your Vehicle, Car – Get A Number plate, Roadworthiness Certificate

  1. Visit online.dvla.gov.gh/sign_in
  2. Then enter the Username and Password you created during the account registration process above
  3. Afterwards click the sign in button
  4. You will be successfully sign in to the DVLA Online Portal
  5. You can now access the Driving License service that allows you to register your car or vehicle.
  6. Afterwards present vehicle for examination at the DVLA vehicle inspection center
  7. Present vehicle together with Customs document to the Customs Officer at the DVLA office for authentication
  8. Present all documents to DVLA officials at the DVLA office for inspection and processing.
  9. Afterward, make Payment of the prescribed fees based on the cubic capacity of the vehicle.
  10. Then Acquire Form A and VRC, complete the forms and Affix photograph and sign appropriate places.
  11. Afterwards Return completed forms to DVLA for processing
  12. You will the be assigned A registration number and a number plate is issued to you.
  13. Afterwards Obtain roadworthiness certificate in addition to your copies of registration documents.

 

 

How To Register Your Personalized Number

In addition to the requirements for registration stated above, add an application letter stating

  • Your Proposed Personalised Number
  • A Vehicle Chassis Number, and
  • Your Current Registration Number

  2. Then enter the Username and Password you created during the account registration process above
  3. Afterwards click the sign in button
  4. You will be successfully sign in to the DVLA Online Portal
  5. You can now access the Driving License service that allows you to register your car or vehicle.
