Ghana Immigration Service Recruitment

The Government of Ghana through the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, has granted the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), financial clearance to recruit 2000 staff into the Security sector.

This is as made known in letters, addressed to the  Minister Interior confirming the clearance to employ staff members, the Finance Minister indicated that the effective date for the people to be recruited will be 1st of August. CHECK THE OFFICIAL RELEASE HERE

About Ghana Immigration Service Recruitment

The Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) is to ensure that recruited immigration personnel have their documents processed in time and placed on the Mechanized Payroll early enough to enable the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department effect payment of their salaries.

The effective date of the appointed personnel should not be earlier than 1st August.

The Controller and Accountant-General is requested to effect the payment of immigration salaries personnel and make appropriate deductions of Social Security and Income Tax to SSNIT and the Domestic Tax Division of Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) respectively.

Please note that the financial Cearance expires at the end of 31st December and cannot be used thereafter.
