How To Request For Delivery Of Your National Service Certificate

1. To begin the national service certificate request visit nsscertificate.com navigate to the “Verify your NSS Number below” text box and just enter your national service number (eg NSSGEW123456) and click on the “Start Here” button to proceed. However if you have forgotten your national service number do not worry, just navigate to the “Dont Know your NSS Number? Search Below” text boxes and enter your Surname, First Name, Region and Year of Service then press “Search” button to proceed. Note that the details you provide in this field must correspond with the details you used during your national service registration.

2. After providing the right details and clicking on the “Start Here” button or the “Search” button, the first stage of the national service certificate request process shows up. This first stage form shows, pre-filled with details such as your national service number,  full name, region of service, institution attended, district of service, course of study and your ID card. You are required to fill your residential address in the address column, your Ghana post digital address(GPS Digital address),  your area of residence, closest landmark, city of residence and region in the provided fields. After filling the required details, click next.

3. The second stage of the national service certificate request process is the “Electronic Consent Authorization Confirmation” stage.This stage requires you to give “Consent to Release Information from Education Records”. What this means is for you to provide your signature to give consent. Below the lower left corner of the page you are to draw your signature. This can be a little hectic if you have a complex signature. The mouse is not suitable for drawing a signature but do not worry. Your signature does not have to be the exact match. After drawing your signature click on the “Submit Consent” button.

4. The third stage of the national service certificate request process is the details preview stage. After drawing and submitting your signature on the “Electronic Consent Authorization Confirmation”stage, the details preview stage shows. This stage previews all the details you have entered including the pre-filled details, your ID card and your signature. Some details on this form are your national service number, your full name, region of service, institution attended, district of service, course of study, your ID card, your residential address , your Ghana post digital address(GPS Digital address),  your area of residence, closest landmark, city of residence and region.

5. The fourth stage of the national service certificate request process is the payment stage. On this stage you are to choose a payment platform to make payment for the delivery of your national service certificate. The cost of the national service certificate delivery is 31.52 cedis as of the national service year. There are only two platforms to choose from. You can choose either MTN mobile money or Express pay. In this guide we choose MTN mobile money.

6. Upon clicking on the MTN mobile money option, it drops down to reveal the cost of the national service certificate delivery service and requires you to enter your MTN mobile money number to proceed. After entering your MTN mobile money number, click on the “Pay with MTN Mobile Money” button to continue.

7. Upon clicking on the “Pay with MTN Mobile Money” button, the payment approval page shows up. You are required to access your mobile money wallet on your phone and make approval of the transaction. This page will remain until you have approved the transaction on your mobile money and click the “Verify” button. There is supposed to be a “Verify” button on this page but it is not there. But do not worry. After  approving the transaction on your phone just refresh or reload the page for it to take effect.

8. To approve the transaction with mobile money, simply follow the following steps:
   • Dial *170# select Option 7, My Wallet.
   • Select Option 3 for My Approvals.
   • Enter PIN to get your Pending Approval List
   • Select pending transaction to approve
   • Select Option 1 YES to approve the transaction

9. After approving the transaction and clicking on the “Verify” button or just refreshing the page, the fifth and final stage of the national service certificate request process shows up.  This page shows a congratulations message to alert you that you are done. It states ” Your Payment for the delivery of your NSS Certificate has been received and your Request Order has been submitted successfully.”

How To Get A PDF Copy Of Your National Service Certificate Instantly

On the stage five above where you see “CLICK HERE TO VIEW YOUR CERTIFICATE”, click on it to see your certificate nicely previewed. To get a PDF copy, you have to print the page as PDF. If you are using windows 10, you usually have the print to PDF option in your printing menu. Here is how.

1. On the certificate preview page click on “CTRL+ P “. Thus press and hold the control key on your keyboard and press the “P” key on your keyboard. This is the shortcut for “Print”.
2. On the print menu select “Microsoft Print To PDF” in the destination option.
3. After selecting “Microsoft Print To PDF” in the destination option, click on print.
4. Navigate to the folder you want to save the national service certificate PDF and click on save.

This will save the national service certificate as a PDF for you to use for any online job application.

If you do not have windows 10. Search and install any print to PDF software for browsers. Note that after installing the software you would be required to  restart the computer for it to take effect. Your browser and the page will have to be closed but do not worry. You can login again and print the preview page as many times as you want. Even after exiting the national service certificate request page after making the request for the first time, you can login anytime and preview and print / save your national service certificate as a PDF  for any online job application that requires your national service certificate. Here is how.

1. Visit nsscertificate.com , navigate to the “Verify your NSS Number below” text box and enter your national service number (eg NSSGEW123456) and click on the “start here” button to proceed. if you have forgotten your national service number, just navigate to the “Dont Know your NSS Number? Search Below” text boxes and enter your Surname, First Name, Region and Year of Service then press the “Search” button to proceed. 2. Right After providing the right details and clicking on the “Start Here” button or the “search” button, a preview of your NSS Certificate Request Status shows up with details such as DATE REQUESTED, SERVICE REQUEST NUMBER, PAYMENT STATUS, COURIER STATUS, REQUESTED BY  and REQUEST STATUS. 

3. On this page there is the “CLICK HERE TO VIEW YOUR CERTIFICATE” option just like in the stage five of the national service certificate request process. Click on it to see your certificate previewed.
