WASSCE: New Timetable To Be Out Next Week, WAEC Suggests – Details

The management of the West Africa Examinations Council (WAEC) states that it will on the next week release the official WASSCE timetable for prospective candidates.

 

Mr. Godfred Addo, the Head of WAEC Examinations Administration, speaking in a zoom interview with Samuel Eshun on Happy Morning show monitored by Avenuegh.com disclosed that the WASSCE question papers, other examinations materials, and stationaries are also ready. According to Mr. Godfred Addo, the WAEC Head of school Examinations Administration, the Council has almost finished with the Wassce timetable for school candidates. Earlier SUspension Of The WASSCE

 

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) earlier in a statement  said amid the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, the Council has suspended the 2020 WASSCE timetable.

 

However, it assured that a new timetable will be made available to the general public and relevant stakeholders when the COVID-19 situation is brought under control, consequently the new release of the timetable next week.

 

 

Ghana To Write The WASSCE 2020 With Other West African Countries in August

 

The Deputy Director of Public Affairs of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Mrs Agnes Teye-Cudjoe in the Zoom interview added that candidates in Ghana will be writing the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in August but not the Ghana Exams.

 

She explained that all the five English-speaking West African countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, the Gambia, and Liberia have agreed to partake in the annual West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

 

Mrs Agnes Teye-Cudjoe furthered that the Examination Council is ready for the conduct of the 2020 WASSCE for school candidates despite the novel coronavirus that has claimed at least 117 lives as of the time writing this post.
