Earlier Suggestions For Ghana To Take The Exams Alone

Earlier, the Minister for Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh addressing the press renamed this year’s WASSCE as Ghana exams amid the outbreak of the novel virus, adding that its a ‘Country Specific Exams’ for only Ghanaian students.

The Education Minister explained that the conduct of the ‘Country Specific Exams’ for only Ghanaian students have become necessary because countries in the West African sub-region are battling the COVID-19 pandemic and it would be difficult to agree on a common date for writing the examinations.

He furthered that the Government of Ghana (GoG) has consulted the management of the Ghana WAEC to set questions for the country since other countries in the sub-regions are still battling the pandemic.
