The Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has stated that his outfit is waiting for financial clearance requested early this year for the graduate teachers recruitment.
The Minister is an interview stated that it is hopeful the Ministry of Finance will grant his outfit financial clearance this academic year to recruit graduate teachers into GES, since his outfit in January sent a financial clearance to the Ministry of Finance to commence the Graduate recruitment process.

When Will GES Recruit University Graduates
- The Ministry Of Finance has already granted financial clearance for the recruitment of newly trained teachers which has already taken place this year. In this regard he is hoping that early this year, the Ministry of Finance will give financial clearance for the recruitment of graduate teachers to support the Free SHS/TVET.
- As newly trained College of Education teachers have been recruited, their Postings & Biometric Registration would have to be done, before university graduate teachers can be recruited.
- The Minister added that since the graduate teachers were not trained by colleges of Education their recruitment for this academic year will take some time.

- As is always the case, GES will consider graduate teachers who have completed national service and passed the NTC licensure exams
