NTC Finally Confirms Exams Date For Licensure Exams : Check Schedule Here

 

The National Teaching Council (NTC) has officially confirmed the registration date for the 2020 licensure examination that was initially postponed. In the statement the National Teaching Council (NTC) stated the Examination Date and schedule of the NTC Licensure Examination . Just few hours after the release of the licensure exams date, the NTC has once again changed the examination date from Saturday 20th June 2020 to Sunday 21st June . This as stated on its Facebook page. Below is the release. The statement reads as follows:

 

National Teaching Council has changed the date for writing the March 2020 GTLE from Saturday June 20, to Sunday June 21, 2020.

All other details still hold.

Please check in the dailies for more information on Monday June 15, 2020.

NTC Exams Date And Schedule For Licensure Exams

Here is The Full Official Statement By The National Teaching Council (NTC) Concerning The Licensure Examination – June, 2020:

The National Teaching Council (NTC) wishes to bring to the notice of all candidates who registered for the March 2020 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) which was postponed due to the covid-19 restriction that their examination will be written on Sunday 21st June, 2020.
All candidates should note that:
• all the three papers shall be written on the same day
• some centres chosen by candidates during registration have been changed
• details of the centres shall be sent to candidates via sms. Candidates may also check their centres on NTC website (www.ntc.gov,gh) or the dailies from Monday, 15th June 2020
• candidates are to wear face mask before, during and after each paper
• candidates shall follow all covid-19 protocols including washing of hands, use of sanitizers and observance of social distance.
• the papers are scheduled as follow
1. Numeracy
2. Literacy
3. Essential professional skills.
• The first paper shall start at exactly 9:00 am

All candidate must endeavour to check their centres and report on time.

NTC Exams Date and Schedule

 

NATIONAL TEACHING COUNCIL LICENSURE EXAMINATION FOR TEACHERS

The National Teaching Council is mandated by the Education Act 2008 (Act 778), Section 9 to improve professional standing and status of teachers and to ensure licensing and registration of teachers in Ghana.
The purpose of the Licensing Examination is to enable qualified teachers acquire a professional license and also prepare teachers to meet the demands of the National Teachers’ Standards of possessing the minimum knowledge, skills, values and attitudes necessary to deliver effectively in schools.

 

Eligibility for the Licensure Examination

Eligibility for the Licensure Examination – June,

1. All Prospective candidates who hold the Diploma in Basic Education (DBE), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), M.Ed and are desirous of seeking employment as teachers.
The candidates are to apply on-line at www.exams.ntc.gov.gh and complete the application form for the licensure examination.

2. All the above-mentioned candidates who completed in 2019 or before 2019 qualify to write the examination at a Regional Centre of your choice.

3. Candidates who have written the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination and are not successful as well as fresh candidates can register

    A student trying to access the registration for licensure exams and is denied, “Either your index number Or school index is wrong ” please I need your help.

    1. That issue is caused by either your school not submitting your name, or you have a resit, a D7 in your wassce result or an unverified wassce result at your tertiary institution etc . Contact your school or Locate the NTC head office at Education Close Street, Opposite University of Ghana City Campus, Adabraka Accra.
