About SSNIT Ghana Card Merger

  • Even though the process of connecting the Ghana card to SSNIT commenced more than two years ago, it is now a requirement for individuals receiving salaries through the CAGD payroll to associate their Ghana card with their payroll details before receiving payment.
  • This measure aims to address the longstanding problem of fictitious names appearing on public sector payrolls in Ghana. The inclusion of unique fingerprints in the Ghana card serves as a deterrent to the presence of ghost names, ensuring greater accuracy and accountability in the payroll system.
