Update On Electoral Commission Payment Of Allowance To District Assembly Election Officers. We earlier alerted you of the commencement of payment of temporal electoral officials who were recruited by the electoral commission for the District Assembly elections in December 2019 as well as those owed arrears for the voter register exhibition exercise in 2019.

The payment in the previous communique was said to have been issued for the Greater Accra and Ashanti Region. Thus their details had been sent to the bank with the other regions are to follow suite within the week. It seems the patience of most electoral officials are exhausted. Though no official statement has been made on the payment schedule,we have updates on the issue.

Current Update

Avenuegh.com can confirm that Electoral Officials in the Greater Accra Region have been duly paid. Several officials holding accounts with GCB have confirmed receiving payment. Several Ashanti Region GCB account holders can also confirm payment.

We can also confirm that payment has begun in the Bono Region, Central Region, Western and Eastern Region as several people have confirmed receiving payment. From the look of things payment have begun in all the regions.

The Previous Communique

In our previous communique payment was said to have been issued for the Greater Accra and Ashanti Region with other regions to follow suite. The statement read as follows:

“PAYMENT OF ALLOWANCE TO DLE OPERATIVES

The Electoral Commission has yesterday sent the cheques and the bank details of DLE operatives to the various banks for payment to operatives in the Greater Accra and Ashanti Regions only. The remaining regions will be paid in the following days.”
