How To Access NSS Portal Dashboard Login

1. Go to portal.nss.gov.gh .
2. At the top right corner of the page or in the menu you will see a “sign in” label.
3. Click on sign in as personnel.
4. Then provide the email you used during the registration in the email column and your pin code as your password to access your dashboard
5. It is advisable to change password by clicking on the link at the left hand menu of the dashboard and enter a password you can remember.

NSS Registration Requirements

1.  Eligibility for national service is limited to Ghanaians who are eighteen years and above at the time of completing or obtaining their first tertiary education degree or diploma.
2. A means of identification, which is either a valid National ID Card, Voters Card, SSNIT Card, Passport or Driver’s License is required during the registration process. Note that health insurance card is not allowed.
3. Scanned passport picture not more than 1mb is required . Note that this will appear on the final certificate.
4. Your general information such as your name, sex, name of institution, course of study, date of birth, nationality, email, contact, region, residential address, Ghana post gps address, guardian information, next of kin.
5. Your service information is required. This include whether you are currently employed, on study leave, have done service before, have military training, your height and clothing size details.
6. Your posting preference is required .  You must choose three regions that you would like to be posted to, in order of preference.
7. Your industrial preference, you must choose either  educational support, business support or entrepreneurship in order of preference for the three regions selected.

Overview Of The Entire NSS Procedures ( Registration To Earning Your Allowance )

1. Pin codes are released by the national service secretariat
2. You are to check for pin code on the national service portal
3. You are to make payment to activate your pin code on the national service portal
4. You are to proceed to register (enroll) for the national service online
5. NSS postings will be released days after registration
6. You then check for NSS postings on the national service portal
7. Then print appointment letter
8. You are to send the appointment letter to the institution you have been posted to for them to endorse it.
9. After the endorsement, you are to schedule an appointment for regional validation and acceptance on the national service website.
10. After validation there you have to undergo biometric registration.
11. After the biometric registration and days into your service you would be required to login to your dashboard to enter your ezwitch card details for payment.
12. You would be required to print your evaluation form getting to the middle of every month and have it endorsed by your supervisor in your institution and submit it to the regional office before 15th of every month before payment.
13. Getting to the end of the national service, you would be required to print a yearly evaluation form from your NSS dashboard, submit it to your supervisor to be filled and stamped then send it to your regional national service office.
14. You can then request for your certificate online after the national service and have it delivered to you.

NSS Registration On NSS Dashboard

Step 1 : Generate NSS Pin Code

To begin the NSS registration, you would need to first generate your NSS pin code and make payment on the for it to be activated.

1. Begin by visiting portal.nss.gov.gh/check-pin. Or go to portal.nss.gov.gh and click on the “Check And Pay For Pincode“ Button.
2. Enter your index number and and your date of birth in the provided fields and click the “Search” button to generate your pin.
3. Your pin code summary page would then be displayed, this contains your pin code and your personal details.
4. Don’t forget to Write down the pin code that is generated, as you would use it to make payment before entering the registration page.
5. Then choose payment option, by selecting the network you are on then enter your number that is registered on mobile money to activate the enrollment process.
6. Afterwards enter your mobile money pin to pay. You would see a payment confirmation and receive SMS confirming payment.
7. Your pin code is now activated for registration.

Step 2 : Login With Pin Code & Index Number

1. The second step is visit portal.nss.gov.gov/registration-signin  or portal.nss.gov and click on the “online registration enrollment” button.
2. Then enter your index number and the pin code you generated in step one and for which you made payment for. Then date of birth as well in the provided field.

Step 3 : Enter Means of Identification

1.  After you have signed in you would need to enter your means of identification. This is the ID number of your id of choice. This could be your voter id, national id, ssnit id or passport however health insurance is not allowed.
2. Your name on the id card you use must match the name provided by your school to the NSS secretariat. If all the names do not match, you cannot access the NSS enrollment form in the next step. But don’t panic there is a way around this. Step 4: Fill NSS Enrollment Form

After providing an acceptable means of identification, the NSS enrollment form would show. You would have to fill the NSS enrollment form in 5 steps.

1. The first step is to fill your applicant information such as your name, sex, name of institution, course of study, date of birth, nationality, email, contact, region, residential address, Ghana post gps address, guardian information, next of kin. You would have to upload a passport size picture on this page.
2. The second step is to fill your service information such as whether you are currently employed, on study leave, have done service before, have military training, your height and clothing size details.
3. The third step is your posting preference.  This is where you choose three regions that you would like to be posted to, in order of preference. 4. The fourth step is to preview your form to show a summary of all the details you have entered.
5. The final step is to print your form or save it as a pdf. You would see a congratulations page detailing your NSS number, your pin code and index number.

How To Pay For NSS Pin Code On Phone Online

After checking for your pin code using your index number on portal.nss.gov/check-pin

1. Begin by dialing NSS Pin Code payment short code *170# to access the mobile money menu.
2. Then Select option 2 (Pay bill) from the menu
3. Then Select option 6 (General Payment) from the menu
4. Afterwards enter the payment code preceding with NSS followed by the pin code you generated
5. A payment detail containing your pin and name would show up for you to enter amount. Enter the right amount for your service year.
6. Then Enter reference as NSS.
7. Afterwards Enter your mobile money pin to make payment.
8. You would see a payment confirmation and receive SMS confirming payment.
9. Your pin code is now active for registration, so go to portal.nss.gov.gh/registration-signin to begin registration.

How To Check NSS Posting On NSS Dashboard

Here is how to check for your national service, NSS postings when it is released. Y

1. First Go to portal.nss.gov.gh and click on check posting
2. Then enter your NSS number and your posting detail would be displayed.
3. There would be an option to print it or save it as a pdf.
4. The NSS Posting details contain your national service number, name , institution attended, course of study, qualification, place of posting, year of enrollment, and remarks showing the status of your appointment.
5. If postings are not out you would see record not found. However after postings are out, if you still see record not found, wait for a day or two, it will be added by then. If you still see record not found after a day or two contact your head of department in your school to resolve it.
