The Minister for Tourism, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal has just confirmed that, the Ghana Education Service is set to recruit 40,000 teachers and non-teaching staff into GES this year.
This is to ease congestions in schools as a result of the increasing number of students and the pandemic.

This is as made known at the just ended 4th edition of the Ghana Teacher Prize held by the National Teaching Council (NTC) at Eusbett International Conference Centre, Sunyani .
The Tourism Minister who represented the President, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo and the Education Minister, Yaw Osei Adutwum, revealed that, although the Ghana Education Service has recruited over 93,000 teachers, GES is set to recruit additional 40,000 teachers and non-teaching staff this year.
